2024 - 2025 Justice High School Orchestra Department Calendar

Any event with a ***** next to it is a required,

 and a summative grade for students.

 
September
7th: TAG DAY 8:15am - 1pm. Annual Music Department Fundraiser - meet in Little Theater.
 
October
1st: Senior Regional Orchestra Auditions HERE after school. Opportunity for students to audition and also to volunteer for community service hours.

8th: Fall Orchestra Concert @6:30pm, with Glasgow MS. *****
  
November
8th/9th: Senior Regional Orchestra Event @ Hayfield SS (select students)

19th: District Orchestra Auditions HERE after school. Opportunity for students to audition and also to volunteer for community service hours.
 
December
3rd: Tri-M/Advanced Guitar Concert @6pm

5th: Winter Orchestra Concert @7pm. *****
 
January
10th/11th: District Honors Orchestra Event @Alexandria City High School. (select students)

23rd: Orchestra ES Recruitment Tour, during school day - Chamber Orchestra Only.
 
February
27th: Pre-Assessment Orchestra Concerts @6:30pm and 7:15pm **** Specific times for orchestra groups TBD
 
March
14th/15th: VBODA Orchestra State Assessments @Edison HS *****Specific times for orchestra groups TBD

April
2nd: Trip Parent Meeting @6:30PM (AUD/music classrooms)

3rd - 5th: JHS Music Department Spring Trip to Gatlinburg, TN

10th: Orchestra Pyramid Concert @6:30PM *****

24th-26th: All-State Band/Choir/Orchestra Event @Richmond. (Select students)

29th:Tri-M/Guitar Recital at 6:30pm in AUD
 
May
2nd/3rd: Solo and Ensemble @Holmes MS

22nd: Spring Orchestra Concert/Awards Ceremony @6:30pm *****

*****Every effort goes into scheduling events with the least amount of conflicts for the students. There may be a time or date that changes throughout the school year, but it is very rare and it would be done if there are absolutely no other alternatives to keep it on the original scheduled date/time listed above.
